KPOP Music Festival Sydney 2011! Dance and Fans Highlights!
Hey guys! Just wanted to do a quick post on the Kpop festival that I recently attended with a bunch of my crazy mates and let me just say, it was MASSIVE fun! Korean Pop or as they call it the Hallyu wave is the trend of Korean culture that is sweeping the globe. Due to the fact that this year was the 50th Anniversary between South Korea and Australia, a initiative, one of many, was formed to bring these massive music stars from South Korea to our shores, many for the first time. This culminated in the creation of the Kpop Music Festival, and even was featured by Sunday Sunrise . I am not sure, but that last few comments by Andrew I can honestly say that this Kpop wave is quite new to me. I only started getting into it when I moved to Sydney. There’s such a strong Korean presence in Sydney, something that was not seen in Perth (where I came from). I enjoy Korean food alot (I love food as y’all know) and with friends into Kpop it was hard not to join in the fun! With over 20,000 screaming fans in ANZ Stadium, I’ll leave you with the following videos that we’ve created at the Kpop Music Festival! YouTuve Video 1.
