Sequel to ‘Look Only At Me’ ? ‘Wedding Dress’ New track by T.Y.

The track is another release from T.Y.(Tae Yang of Big Bang fame) the video actually has a storyline similar to a certain Taylor Swift MTV winning video but not really [lol]. And yes this video may win some respect from MR Kanye West because TAE YANG can pop and dance like no other Korean RnB singer can. Ok maybe BoA but thats about it.

The plot goes on something like a 20 something wedding scenario with the usual “hi-i’m an amazing Korean pop star dancing like Micheal Jackson and the girl that I adore is marrying some K-drama douche bag and is totally downed by it so I’m going to get my boys to dance some random choreography.” The END.

Enjoy the track because in all of its amazing dance moves the tune is just on top of its game. Just like previous T.Y songs ‘Where u At?’ ‘Look Only At Me’ and ‘Prayer’.

STORM WARRIORS 2. Aaron Kwok &Ekin Cheng’s Comeback after 10 years in the making. EPIC In EFFECTS!!!!!!!!!!
I have to be brutally honest when it comes to Hong Kong movies. The one that makes an impression on most cinema-goers are the ones with great story-lines and super stylish kung-fu moves. Storm Warriors 2 lacks depth in the story line department but does one hell of an EPIC in special effects. Kudos to the PANG brothers makers of ‘THE EYE’ (which was remade by Hollywood starring Jessica Alba).
These PANG brothers( Danny Pang Fat 彭發) and Oxide Pang Chun 彭順),) transformed this classic Hong Kong graphic novel into a ‘300-spartan-Frank-Miller-esque’ EPIC but retaining the intense Chinese battle sword imagery of Anicient Wu-shu. Alot of action fighting, muscle breaking, blood bathing, faint gazes from Charlene(from Hong Kong girl band ‘TWINS) the main love interest of Ekin Cheng. It also helps if you understand Mandarin.
The amusingly executed subtitled dialogue didn’t help me at all but its a film you don’t even need to understand the history behind ‘Wind’ played by Ekin Cheng of ‘Young and Dangerous ’ fame and Aaron Kwok’s ‘Cloud’ character. Its based entirely on graphic novel movements and you can just feel the brushstroke styles in the cinematographer’s work. There is also alot of still and when I mean still i mean extreme slow gazes much more than an average Wong Kar Wai film.
This film is no Ashes of Time Redux 東邪西毒: 終極版 but definitely impressed me what Hong Kong cinema can do and cannot do! They really created a world full of action pack sword fighting slow motion Matrix-like movement but all set in Ancient China. Its epic, its Chinese and its Aaron Kwok VS Ekin Cheng fighting action.
So if you are in the mood for some testerone action go take a bunch of your mates and enjoy a great night out. Go watch it @EVENT cinemas for a limited time only and please don’t download the illegal torrents. If you do download you are only indirectly affecting the movie industry and maybe next time Storm Warriors 3 comes out they may of spend a little more time on the storyline if you paid for a ticket.

TIGER WOODS VS EDISON CHEN. Noughtie MAN-HO’s
In 2008 Edison Chen was indecently exposed online along with a string of 7 plus other Hong Kong female singers and actresses/models. Apparently Rapper, CLOT clothing designer, actor and part time exhibitionist on camera got carried away with his sexual conquests one famous Asian celebrity after another. Gillian Chung, Cecilia Cheung, Bo Bo Chan..etc were all his victims. They were all upcoming superstars and overnight completely shamed their families and friends and alongside their careers in Asia’s sweet like honey media devoid of such sex scandals of this scale until now.
The story was so big at the time, pictures surfaced and plagued emails, online forums and water cooler conversations talk shows across Asia and even got into Sydney Morning Herald front page news. Asians across the globe were completely shocked and one man apparently died after a heart attack in searching for these naked pix of these famous teeny-booper idols. This was an epic scandal which started off as a normal laptop repair then turned into a computer repairer’s discovery of literally hundreds of celebrities in uncompromising naked posistions. Mr Chen and Pop Rocker’s Nic Tse’s wife Cecilia Cheung and the Britney of Hong Kong nowadays Ms Gillian Chung were in hiding for months until recently they are back in the ever crazy Hong Kong media circus.
In 2009 Edison Chen is now the spokesman for the biggest brand in the sporting world, NIKE China.
Tiger Woods should learn for this. After any decent Chinese man would know the values of family , honor and respect. Obviously has now shame and decency&morals.
As most people in Asia would know Tiger Woods is of Asian descent surprisingly on his mother’s side. This maybe of a shock to most Aussies or Americans he is actually half Asian (one-quarter Chinese and one-quarter Thai), one-quarter African American, one-eighth Native American, and one-eighth Dutch.
The fact the media made a huge deal about Woods adultery practices is much of serious matter than Edison’s Chen’s scandal because Chen was not a married man. But in saying that there are no exposing nude photos taken on a laptop of Mr Tiger Woods and his conquests. Just damaging allegations and confessions with Wood’s seven plus mistresses on international TV detailing of his outside of marriage rendezvous. Till the day there are nude photos of the incident Woods is still less mentally damaged as Edison Chen; which was revealed in Chen’s controversial CNN interview. After more than a year Chen is now back in the limelight and as the saying goes ’ time will heal even the most profound pain’ and shame for this matter.
Not sure if Woods is actually embarrassed by all of this but the wife; which is of a perfect specimen herself .. will definitely be ashamed how she couldn’t keep the highest paid golfer in sporting history to her side with her model good looks.

Lee Lin Chin host of SBS’s new programme. ‘DESIGNER PEOPLE’ Thursday 9pm. Not a show about cloning of perfect humans.
Designers are taken for granted by many people. I don’t think many people know that our entire lives are revolved around design. Every aspect of inanimate objects in this world are in some form or way designedspecifically for a purpose to be appreciated aesthetically or create comfortin people’s lives. If you look at the world objectively everything is excruciatingly developed by a designer to make sure our world is not in ruins or pure ugliness.
Lee Lin Chin’s fan blog seems to be one of those rare Aussie Asians who hasgain a status in the media as an icon but has always gain much negative attention. Her sense of fashion and hairstyle has always been a concern amongmany as avantgarde or just plain weird. The fan blog is an unlikely obsession brought upon by an individual that has an adoration for Lee Lin Chin’s unique quirky news reading on SBS world news and of course her outfits. Lee Lin Chin is definitely the Lady Gaga of the Australian news reading world.Check out that crazy blogger who screen captures Lee’s daily fashion while reading the latest politics of an international agenda.
SBS’s new show ‘DESIGNER PEOPLE’ will definitely hold a new heart for me as Lee Lin Chin the styleicon of SBS Fashionista and the voice and face of SBS’ world news. Hersense of style, orginally from Singapore; this woman knows what gooddesign is..tonightwe witness an amazing motion graphic creator Jakob Trollback. Producer of many famous print media, tv commercials and music videos around the globe.

Luke’s SBS culinary journey to Vietnam. Food Hunt Safari.

I tuned into SBS ONE tonight@ 7:30 and witnessed an attempt of Vietnamese Aussie dude bbq-ing a fresh fish caught in the muddy banks of Hoi An. Luke burnt the fish in a pile of haystack the traditional farmer’s way and totally mesmerised by the rawness of this style of cooking food. This amazing culinary piece of TV is an insight to a world so different to one we Aussie Asians live in. Luke Nguyen is an amazing Food Safari hunter. He takes himself on adventures back to his cultural roots in Nam finding the most exotic fresh ingredients to cook the perfect dish. There was also elements of Mexican salsa and Japanese style of cooking tonight involving rolling black and white sesame, oregano, mango, mints, fish-sauce slightly seared to perfection on a frying pan.
Vietnam is located south east Asia; attached to south China geographically and north of Singapore. Its a sub tropical nation with many great summer dishes combining French colonial influences and Chinese elements. In saying that Viet cuisine has its own dose of fresh herbs and seafood styles which makes it totally unique.
Watch this video how to make the perfect summer dish.

Special Agent Demetri Noh is played by John Cho in the new ‘Seven Network’ action drama series on Monday nights.
John Cho(Star Trek, American Pie, Harrold and Kumar) stars alongside Joseph Fiennes(Shakesphere in Love) play partners at the FBI. The tag line for the show is “…What if you saw your future 6 months from now? A glimpse of where you will be and who you will be with. Would you look forward to what was coming…or would you try to stop it?..”
The series starts off with a mysterious global event causes everyone to black out simultaneously for two minutes and seventeen seconds, and each person sees a glimpse of their lives six months from now.
When they wake up, everyone is left wondering if what they saw will actually happen.
Los Angeles FBI Agent Mark Benford(FIENNES) and Demetric Noh(CHO) are desperate to uncover why this happened and who or what is behind it. No one knows what these flash forwards mean or exactly what the future really holds. But it is clear that across the globe people who’ve never met will somehow be intimately connected and will have an impact on each other’s lives in the next six months. Some will fear what’s coming, others excited; but not a single person will be unaffected.
FLASH FORWARD has amazing cast and a major role for John Cho which doesn’t involve being a typecast or stereotyoe which is a refreshing relief from his usual comedic roles in the Harold and Kumar movies or Ugly Betty series as a nerdy OM in Mode magazine’s finance department.
I guess with Brannon Braga as executive producer (24, Star Trek: Enterprise)and David S. Goyer (“Batman: The Dark Knight”) you can’t go wrong. This is action fueled drama that takes you on a journey to answer the question.
“if you knew what your future held, what would you do?” full of intrigue and mystery this is one series after 24 will leave you off your coach like no other series on ch7 has ever has for me!
[BTW : there is some steaming scenes of Gabrielle Union(ZOEY in ‘Flash Forward’) and John Cho(Demetri in ‘Flash Forward’) as an engaged couple here on youtube . Ethinic diversity hotness]

ARIA award winner ‘EMPIRE OF THE SUN’. Yes wtf?! The band name is based loosely on the 1984 novel of the same name. Author J. G. Ballard wrote a story about the world of Shanghai WW2 where a young English boy Jamie gets lost in the midst of the Japanese invasion of China.

The video depicts two strange fellows lost in the land of east.

‘WALKING ON A DREAM’ won MUSIC VIDEO OF YEAR 2009 @ the recent Australian Recording Industry Association nights of nights. ‘Empire of the Sun’ brought home the gongs for this amazingly vibrantly music motion piece. The entire MV shoot was done in the mega -metropolis Shanghai, China with a montage of architecture and neonistic flashes of lights which would put Sydney to shame.

With the lead vocalist dressed in a fusion of traditional Chinese Peking opera costumes and eclectic mix of face make up resembling a potential visual disaster. The quirky nature of the band members might not be the representation of a prison of war escapee in ww2 Shanghai in the classic 80’s novel but surely represents the choice of Shanghai a superb choice for two lost tourists. The Aussie pop duo which combines a heavy dose of eastern culture and western electronic sounds . Lead vocalist Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore was originally signed onto independent record label ‘Peking Duck’ (i know how AZN eh?) .Steele rocked up to the ARIA stage and received the awards with huge “LUCK” charming gold bling looking like this kid stole the thang from a Buddhist shrine. The extravagant performance of the winning song ‘WALKING ON A DREAM’ awed the audience with its Peking Opera inspired outfits with a strange choice of bizarre eye paint fitted the entire crazy world which ‘Empire of the Sun’ embodies.

This has been an ongoing trend among big musician these days with epic videos to accompany their lead album tracks. Does filming their award winning videos in an Asian city bring more epic-culture credibility for their ongoing broaden appeal to a more lucrative market? Here are some of the music videos from the last 3 years that has made it big and also filmed on the grounds of a super culturally rich Empire.

This is just complete genius. The universal nature and likability of animals on earth has always been an integral part of human existence. To serenade a peaceful creature the whale in using an orchestra is just beautiful. M&C Saatchi in March 2009 created this epic work and its probably this years most memorable Australian TV commercial. Anything is possible.
